Deutsche Hospitality to Open the Zleep Hotel Madrid Airport

Deutsche Hospitality acquired Zleep Hotels at the start of 2019 and currently runs twelve hotels in Denmark and Sweden.

Zaka Investments and Evok Hotels to Open Luxury Hotel Designed by Philipe Starck in Madrid

4 December 2019 – The consultancy Savills Aguirre Newman announced that it had sold the office building located at Gran Vía 20 in Madrid on behalf of Cajalmendralejo to the French firm Zaka Investments for 44 million euros.

The property, which was home to offices of the regional government, will be converted into a luxury hotel designed by Philipe Starck. The Parisian firm Evok Hotels Collection will take over the management of the hotel, its first in Spain.

Baraka to Invest Nearly €20 Million to Acquire and Convert the Cinema Ideal into a 4-Star Hotel

8 November 2019 – Baraka is planning to convert the former Cinema Ideal in Alicante into a four-star hotel in a total investment of nearly twenty million euros. Millenium Acquires Asturias Hotel in Madrid from Platinum for €82 Million

Boissée Finances to Build a Luxury Hotel in Madrid

1 November 2019 – The French hospitality group Boissée Finances has acquired an office building on Calle Fomento in Madrid from Princeton Investments for €45 million. Boissée plans to subsequently convert the asset into a 155-room luxury hotel.

Millenium Hotels in Talks to Acquire the Former Asturias Hotel in Madrid

Bouygues to Build New Hotel in Nervión in Seville

FTI Group to Convert Former Stella Canaris into Major Eco-Resort

14 October 2019 – The Pájara City Council granted the FTI Group authorisation to start the renovation and conversion of the six hotels that make up the former Stella Canarias complex in ​​Solana Matorral, the Canary Islands. The Student Hotel Raises €90-Million in Financing for New Investments

14 October 2019 – The Netherlands-based student hotel group The Student Hotel (TSH) announced that it had obtained €90-million in bank financing Santander, Sabadell and HSBC. TSH will use the funds to build two new hotels in Madrid and Barcelona as well as to refinance its existing debts in Spain. The investments are part of a €2-billion investment strategy that the group plans to implement over the next five years in Europe.

TSH is currently working on three projects in Spain: Madrid La Imprenta (340 rooms), Barcelona Provençals (300 rooms) and the TSH San Sebastian (328 rooms).

Xpandia to Invest €43 Million in Hotels in Valencia, Andalusia and Madrid
