Grupo Villar Mir has confirmed serious interest in investing into Colonial and by deed becoming its main shareholder. (…). The company is awaiting an offer from Canadian fund Brookfield.
Also, the businessman is going to inject into Colonial €300 million and earn 29.9% holding in the real estate. (…) What is more, Villar Mir will obtained right to vote in assemblies by buying 20,2% of its capital from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
Apart from Villar Mir, the rest of the Colonial is held by Crédit Agricole (19.6%), Coral Partners (14.7%), Goldman Sachs (4.9%), La Caixa (5.7%) and Banco Popular (4.6%).
