Private equity investment firm Northwood Investors bought a 60.400 square meters out of the total of 87.500 square meters of the Diagonal Mar from Avestus Capital Partners investment group. The remaining 27.100 square meters belong to Alcampo hipermarket.
Throughout 2013, the shopping center was visited by 16 million people. Around 98.7% of its total space is rented to 190 brands, such as Media Markt, Fnac, Primark, Zara, H&M and Cinesa, among others.
Since 2006, Avestus has been responsible for the property management and Northwood decided to let the company hold this function. Both firms foresee several projects to make the center more attractive, like refurbishment of its outside terrace.
