Madrid is negotiating with the Ministry of Economy to put the properties of the “bad bank” aside for those evicted.

The president of the regional government, Ignacio González, has declared this during an interview in Telecinco, indicating that he is negotiating with Economy because it is the competent Ministry.

“Among the properties from the banking sector that have been transferred to Sareb, there are some housing developments for these solutions, and we are negotiating with the Ministry of Economy the cession of these homes”, he has indicated.

The idea is to use these properties for the agreements that are being signed with social organizations such as Caritas, so that evicted families might have access to a rented home at lower prices, as it is already done with empty homes of the Housing Institute of Madrid.
