Husa Begins Its Hotel & Staff Transfers

28/04/2014 – Expansion

The Husa Hoteles chain has got its hotel together with their personnel, movable goods and debt transfers scheduled for the following days.

Over the past few months, Husa has been evicted from numerous hotels where it stayed as a tenant or a manager due to rent unpayment (owing up to several years of lease). Among others, there were the Hotel Juan Carlos I in Barcelona, the Hotel Real in Santander and the Husa Gran Fama in Almeria.

Now, in the framework of insolvency process, the chain chaired by Joan Gaspart revealed a €227 million debt.

One of the hotels found on the to-transfer list is the Hotel Husa Chamartin in Madrid. The property disposes of 400 rooms and a 120 person staff. The collective dismissal presented last week may still affect a part of the employees.
