Sareb invokes great interest among international investors. Hayfin Capital Management, a fund set up by two ex-directors of Goldman Sachs, acquired a €90 million loan worth out of the “Klaus Portfolio“.
Also, other important investors did business with Spain´s bad bank, such as Fortress, HIG Capital or Blackstone. Throughout 2013, Sareb sold 12 credit portfolios via its wholesale channel. About 82% of them constituted syndicated loans or commercial assets as collaterals.
The British fund is an expert in loan management and administers assets valued at €5.4 billion. It was established in 2009 by Richard Hayden and Tim Flynn.
Hayfin cooperates in Spain with two allies: Noqca Partners and BK Partners.
