Goldman Sachs Crosses 5% Holding in Colonial

The entity expanded stake in Colonial from 4.94% to 5.072%. If present market prices applied, the enlargement could have consumed about €20.7 million.

Right now Goldman Sachs possesses 11.45 million shares of the real estate company in which Grupo Villar Mir is the majority stakeholder. The entity has been among foreign investors that took control over Colonial through debt execution.

Few days ago, Colonial announced plans on raising the enlargement amount destined for debt reduction by €266 million. Once that achieved, the real estate company would dodge obligation to sell French Société Foncière Lyonnaise (SFL).

Still, Colonial has got a €2.1 billion debt which reaches maturity this year. (…).

After several changes in the real estate company´s holding, its present stake presents as follows: Grupo Villar Mir with 22.8%, Coral Partners (14.7%), MoraBanc (7.5%), Crédit Agricole (4.9%), Santo Domingo group (3%) and Fidelity International (3.38%).
