Rental Prices Went Down 3.6% in April

In April, prices of rent stood at an average of 6.91 Euros per square meter monthly. In regard to March, the value increased by 0.4% but fell 3.6% in year-on-year terms, as portal says.

In this way, the yields accumulate a slump of 31.7% since their maximum levels in 2007 when the price hit 10.12 €/sqm per month.

The acute depression of more than a 30% drop-off is being experienced in the region of Aragón (-43.1%), Cantabria (-37.9%), the Valencian Community (-37.4%), Castille-La Mancha (-34.1%), Murcia (-32.9%), Catalonia (-32.6%), La Rioja (-32.4%) and in Andalusia (-30.5%).

In April solely, six regions registered monthly price rises: the Basque Country (+0.8%), the Balearic Islands (+0.7%), A Coruña (+0.7%), Castille and León (+0.3%), the Canary Islands (+0.2%) and Madrid (+0.1%).

According to Beatriz Toribio, responsable for research in, although the prices fall year-on-year, they climb delicately and seem to stabilize.
