DCN and Adif to Put Operación Chamartín out for Tender “Imminently”

21 February 2020 – Brainsre.news

As the wait continues for the definitive approval of the project from the public bodies involved, the property developers behind Madrid Nuevo Norte (previously known as Operación Chamartín) are working in parallel on the plans to renovate the area, which has a surface area of nearly three million square metres, in central Madrid. It is expected that the Comunidad de Madrid will issue its environmental assessment in March.

Furthermore, the property developer Distrito Castellana Norte (DCN), partly owned by BBVA and the Socimi Merlin, has signed an agreement with Adif to award the contract for the renovation of the Madrid-Chamartín station and its surrounding area.
