Bank of Spain Hands It to 2.000 Families With Minimum Clause Mortgages

25/04/2014 – Expansion

Secretary for Economic Affairs, Fernando Jiménez Latorre said that yesterday the Bank of Spain admitted right to over 2.000 families who claimed the “minimum clause” in mortgages between July 2013 and January 2014.

One third of the total of claims were processed favourably due to possible mortgage regulation breaches, while the remaining 60% were infringed by banking practices.

As Latorre says, the Social Fund for Housing is going to back families that wish to move into one of its 6.000 dwellings. 637 families have already benefited from this measure.
