Train manufacturer Alstom has decided to move its corporative premises in Madrid and inaugurate new building.
The French group has signed a rent contract for 6.000 square meters in one of the Martínez Villergas (MV) 49 buildings, belonging to the real estate Colonial. (…) The surface is distributed among the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th floor of the property.
Alstom´s management of Railway Transport for Spain and Portugal, technological laboratory, the center of the rail signalling system engineering and the central administration of the commercial Energy field. In total, more than 400 employees out of all 4.000 people working in Spain for Alstom.
The moving will take place probably in April. Jones Lang LaSalle advised at the operation. Alstom will share the complex with Iberia (…).
By the office change, the railway manufacturer will unify in the same building all its central services, currently based at 257 Castellana Street and in offices of the business park Isla de Chamartín.
Apart from Madrid, the company is based in Barcelona with its global trade premises I+D of Alstom Wind. (…).
Alstom is the last large company enjoying the low prices and available office space in Madrid. It is predicted that in the first quarter of the year Vodafone and Cepsa will inaugurate their moving into the Avenida de América Street number 115 and to the old Torre Bankia, respectively.
The average office rental price in Madrid shows 23 €/m2 per month, according to Aguirre Newman.
