Vía Célere Expands Its Activities to Portugal

25 September 2017

Vía Célere, a real estate company specialising in the development, investment and management of real estate assets, has announced the launch of its first development in Portugal, in a deal that reinforces its growth strategy.

The company will develop, starting in 2018, 46,500 square meters of residential and commercial land in the town of Oeiras, 11 kilometres from the centre of Lisbon. The project will add up to 276 homes to the Portuguese residential real estate market.

“It is the right time to go ahead with the development of new projects in Portugal. Because of its sustained economic growth and the growing confidence and purchasing power of its consumers, in an environment of greater access to finance and low-interest rates, the Portuguese market is an excellent opportunity for real estate investment,” says Juan Antonio Gómez-Pintado, president of Vía Célere.

“Thanks to our innovative construction methods, we will provide competitiveness to a market with a scarce supply of new residential product and high demand,” he adds.

The project is set up in four phases. The first will begin in the second quarter of 2018 with the development of a residential area of 15,800 square meters in which Via Célere will build up to 120 multi-family homes.

The land on which the project will be developed comes from the portfolio absorbed by Vía Célere after its recent merger with the developer Dospuntos.

The expansion to the Portuguese market strengthens Vía Célere’s growth strategy and highlights the company’s ability to identify new opportunities and expand its portfolio of projects.
