New Development in Lisbon: the Modular “Young Urban Property”

14 November 2019 – A new development, called Young Urban Property (YUP), is going up in Lisbon’s area of Campo dos Mártires da Pátria. The building, which will have twenty flats, adopts a ground-breaking, modular concept squarely aimed at younger, urban buyers. Paul Henri Schelfhout, the chairman of Finangest’s board of directors, is investing approximately €7 million to convert the former office building into a vibrant new apartment complex.

The YUP will consist of modular-style flats with sliding wood-panels that will allow residents to alter the layout of their homes. Residents can open the flats completely for a studio-style flat, or close the panels, creating a one or two-bedroom home. The property, which will be ready in mid-2021, will also include a gym, laundry and dining room.

Sales begin this week through Christie’s/Porta da Frente. The flats have surface areas ranging from 66 to 115 square meters. Prices go from 330,000 to 750,000 euros.
