The JPS Group Promotes ‘The Village’

5 January 2018

Located in the Vale das Andorinhas, in Malveira, The Village is the JPS Group’s latest investment. Following the company’s strategy of promoting products aimed at Portuguese families, João Sousa, the CEO of the JPS Group, recently spoke to Construir, about the newly relaunched project.

The Village had been initially launched in 2009, with sales managed by Tecniprédio, and Ridjo in charge of construction. Affected by the crisis, the project was halted in 2011, although some houses had been built.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed, but Mr Sousa indicated that the eventual total commitment had been subject to an analysis by the Group to evaluate its feasibility. A decision was made to go ahead with the project as it was primarily aimed at the middle and upper-middle segment, particularly at Portuguese families, especially young couples, in an area where currently a significant shortage of new housing exists.

The Village consists of 31 three- to four-bedroom houses, each with 390 m2 of gross floor area. The homes have modern architectural features, large spaces and three floors, overlooking the Serra da Malveira. The houses are priced beginning at 275,000 euros.
