1 June 2021 – Ana Custódio

The inauguration of the hospitality group’s first hotel on the Iberian Peninsula took place last Friday.

The new hotel unit presents itself as the safest and most innovative option for a stay in Porto. With a truly technological design, the YOTEL Porto has the sector’s most innovative and secure experience. The new hotel is located on Rua de Gonçalo Cristóvão, in the heart of the city.

YOTEL Porto is a project owned by United Investments Portugal and represents an investment of 30 million euros in the city of Porto.

The new hotel has 150 rooms, and a 24-hour gym, parking, two meeting rooms, common workspaces, a fully adaptable area for events with a view over the city and a restaurant. The hotel also has a bar with an internal outdoor patio, perfect for a mid-day break.

The design of the YOTEL Porto was conceived to meet the needs of today’s tourists, bringing the essential elements of luxury hotels inspired by first-class airplane travel. The cabins (YOTEL’s nomenclature for rooms) are equipped with exclusive YOTEL brand features such as the space-saving adjustable SmartBed™ (in selected cabins), different USB charging points, super-fast Wi-Fi and SMART HD TVs with Chromecast. Each cabin also features rejuvenating showers in the bathrooms, among other technological offerings.
