Vila Baleira to Expand the Porto Santo Hotel in Madeira

7 September 2020 – Vila Baleira & Resorts inaugurated a new hotel in Funchal, Madeira July, looking to explore potential synergies with its hotel in Porto Santo. After the end of the lockdown, Porto Santo has already reached an occupancy rate of 70%, while the unit in Funchal is at 40%.

The group is also planning to expand the Porto Santo hotel, adding a further 26 suites and investing in the fad for wellness by providing thalassotherapy services. Vila Baleira has signed an agreement with the Professional School of Hospitality in Madeira, whereby Porto Santo will become a training centre for chefs and other restaurant workers.
