The AP Hotels & Resorts Group, which acquired the Victoria Sport & Beach aparthotel in December 2016, formerly known as Stella Maris, announced that the hotel is preparing a “series of new features” that will be ready for the public for the new 2018 season.

According to the statement, the hotel is targeting the sports and wellness sector and will be equipped with fully renovated sports facilities. In addition, the hotel will also be “more elegant and modern, providing ideal conditions for joining beach and sporting activities.”

A mere 800 meters from the famous Falesia beach, the hotel consists of 88 one-bedroom apartments, 36 large-sized one-bedroom apartments and nine 2-bedroom apartments.

The Victoria Sport & Beach is suitable for sports lovers, offering a Fitness Center, equipped with top of the line exercise equipment, providing a “full range of sports facilities, including a gym, soccer field, tennis and paddle-tennis courts, a swimming pool, jacuzzi and running track, which now boasts Stobielast waterproof surface.

According to Mar Bayo, the AP Hotels & Resorts Group’s general manager, the refurbishment of Victoria Sport & Beach “is part of the group’s structured growth process, which aims to become one of the top chains in the Portuguese hotel sector. Victoria Sport & Beach is an ambitious project, which will establish the establishment as one of the most important sports and wellness hotels in the Algarve. The remodelling will give the operation ideal conditions to host tourists wishing to combine sports with a stay at the beach, including hosting team practices and even tournaments. The development has stayed true to the AP Hotels & Resorts Group’s vision, which is to be Naturally Distinctive, reflecting both our ties and relationships our clients and the surrounding area, as well as the importance we give to nature and well-being.”
