US-Based Discovery Land Looking to Acquire Land for Major Development in Grândola

The North American group Discovery Land Company is in negotiations to acquire Costa Terra, a 200-hectare tourism development in Grândola, Alentejo. The project, which has yet to leave the planning stage, includes the construction of hotels, holiday villages and villas, in a potential investment of more than 500 million euros.
Discovery, which is a specialist in luxury resort management, is negotiating to acquire the asset from the Queiroz Pereira family, through its holding company Semapa.
