Tivoli Carvoeiro Voted Best Hotel in Europe for Families

The Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2019 chose the Algarve hotel as the Best Hotel for Families in Europe. The award recognises the hotels with the highest levels of excellence in service and offerings designed for the whole family.

Mário Custódio, the general-director of Tivoli Carvoeiro, stated that “2018 was our first full year in operation after a total renovation, which gave a new identity to the hotel and our offerings, optimising the service we have already become accustomed to providing. The hotel’s DNA, from the beginning, has been associated with families and an unforgettable vacation. It is therefore with immense pride that we find resort and Carvoeiro granted such an international award.”

In addition to the recently refurbished rooms, there are three restaurants with unique flavours from the region, three bars, including the new Sky Bar Carvoeiro, as well as a spa and a fitness centre.

The hotel also offers a team of babysitters and monitors, along with a set of pioneering, safe and very entertaining proposals to entertain children up to 10 years in the fun-filled T/Kids. Tivoli Carvoeiro also has indoor and outdoor spaces for sports, educational and recreational activities, from art workshops and theatres to tours and more.

In 2018, the Late Summer Family Escape offerings, with visits to the Benagil Caves, the Seven Suspended Valleys tour and dolphin watching, delight kids and adults alike. Next year will see the special Family Ocean Adventure package, available from April to October for stays of five or more nights. For the more adventurous, the Tivoli Carvoeiro also offers a number of programs, ranging from a cliff walk to the Diving Wonders experience, a practical diving experience.
