Student Residence to Replace Former Factory in Braga

9 January 2020 The site of the former Confiança factory will be converted into a 300-room private residence for university students, according to an announcement by the mayor of Braga, Ricardo Rio. The site will be put up for public auction to potential developers in February.

The project includes the rehabilitation of the existing building, which will house some of the 300 rooms, a study centre and a food hall. Developers will also erect a new building, with most of the students’ rooms, on the northern end of the plot of land. The new structure will have seven above-ground floors and underground parking for 150 vehicles.
