Streets in Quarteira and Almancil Are Among the Ten Most Expensive in Portugal

According to a study by Idealista, Portugal’s online real estate marketplace, the most exclusive streets in Portugal are in Lisbon, Cascais, Algarve and Porto, with Rua do Salitre in Lisbon as the most expensive street for housing in Portugal. The top ten most expensive streets for real estate also include Oeiras, Estoril, Almancil (Vale do Lobo) and Quarteira (Fonte Santa).

Located in the very centre of Lisbon, Rua do Salitre has the most expensive housing in Portugal, and owners of property in this exclusive area of the capital ask for an average of 2,923,195 euros for anyone who wants to buy one of their luxurious properties.

Coming in second in the ranking is Avenida Brasil in Cascais, with an average price of 2,487,647 euros.  That price is like that found at the Fonte Santa allotment in Quarteira, in the Algarve region, which is in third place (€2,450,385).

Rua de Sobreiras, in the city of Porto, is the fourth most expensive street in the country, where a house will cost on average 2,013,125 euros. It is followed by Rua Fernão Mendes Pinto in Belém (Lisbon), with a value of 1,945,319 euros, and Rua Gazeta d’Oeiras (Oerias), where the average price of luxury housing is around 1,777,750 euros.

Estoril is home to the seventh most expensive street, Rua Dom Afonso Henriques, which has houses costing an average of 1,732,270 euros. The list of the ten most expensive streets is rounded out by Rua António Saldanha in Lisbon (€1,688,363), the Avenida Marechal Gomes da Costa in Porto (€1,652,000), and the Vale do Lobo resort in the Algarve (€1,572,090).
