SDC Investments, which is run by two former executives at Portugal’s Soares da Costa construction firm, will invest 11 million euros in converting the former Central Shopping centre in Bonfim, Porto into a new office park.

The Porto Business Plaza will be linked to the Oporto Center, whose current occupants include the French multinational Natixis. Cushman & Wakefield picked up the mandate to market the new offices, which will have a gross surface area of approximately 17,000 m2. There will be an additional 1,000 m2 for commercial premises, and the former cinema will be converted into a multi-purpose event space.

Construction on the site is slated to begin in October and be completed within a year.
