Rents in Portugal Increase by 2.3% in One Year

Residential rents increased by 2.3% in September, 0.1% higher than in July. According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), every region in Portugal saw positive year-on-year changes, with Lisbon registering the highest increase (3%).

“Average rents per square meter (m2) registered a monthly variation of 0.3% (0.1% higher than in the previous month),” concludes the INE.

According to the institute, Lisbon, the Azores and the North (0.3%) registered the highest increases, though everyone saw a rise.
