Real Estate Leasing Grew by 37.3% in 2018

Real Estate Leasing increased by 37.3% in 2018 to a total of 1.1 billion euros compared to 2017.

According to estimates published today by the Portuguese Leasing, Factoring and Renting Association (ALF), specialised financing products grew in “very positive” manner, with the Leasing sector ending last year with “a rise, particularly in Real Estate Financial Leasing, which posted an increase of 37.3% compared to 2017, to a total of 1.1 billion euros.

Leasing is a means of financing whereby companies or private individuals enter into a rental agreement.

For this year, “the outlook is also positive given the forecasts for economic growth and rising demand from new customers, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises,” the ALF concluded.
