Portuguese Investment Funds with 3.6% Return

Portuguese real estate investment funds obtained a total annual return of 3.6% in September this year, the highest amount of the last nine years (since December 2008).

According to the APFIPP/IPD® Index, this figure shows an improvement over the annual returns of -1.6% and 2.1% registered in September 2016 and June 2017, respectively.

At 12 months, closed-end real estate investment funds (excluding FIIAH) obtained a return of 6.3%, while open-ended real estate funds totalled 2.9%. Closed-end real estate investment funds (FIIAH) posted a gain of 0.8%.

The APFIPP / IPD® index of Portuguese Real Estate Investment Funds comprises 11 open and 31 closed funds, including 5 FIIAH, with total assets under management of 5.4 billion euros at the end of the third quarter of 2017.
