Porto: 99% of Offices in Trindade Domus Already Occupied

19 October 2017

Trindade Domus has been contributing to the consolidation of Baixa do Porto as a business destination. The office building, located next to the City Hall, brought nearly two dozen companies to the area, and the property is close to capacity, with only two spaces left. JLL, the firm that is overseeing the property, announced the figures. Domus Trindade’s total office area amounts to 10,500 square meters.

“The market for offices in Porto is highly dynamic, and downtown Porto is especially in vogue, attracting types of businesses. Trindade Domus is a clear example of this demand, and because of its unique characteristics and high quality, the building has served as an anchor for the region,” Mariana Rosa, director of the Office Agency Department, stated.

Most of the companies that moved to the building operate in the information technology sector, including start-ups and established Portuguese and international firms. But companies in the areas of customer services, human resources, tourism and travel, consulting and engineering supervision, real estate mediation and law have chosen the property for their offices in Porto.

Pipeline of new offices to increase in Porto

“Porto will continue to be an option for more and more companies, especially in the areas of shared services and information technology, so the pipeline for new offices is expected to gain more volume shortly. On the demand side, judging by the pace of office rentals that we have seen in Trindade Domus and by the other operations that we are currently negotiating in Porto, we expect a memorable year for the market. It is likely that 40,000 square meters of total office space will be taken up this year,” Ms Rosa added.

The Trindade Domus combines 10,500 m² in five floors of offices and a retail area with 44 stores and 7,900 m², with 493 parking spaces.
