Periodic Statistics – Real Estate Investment Funds – December 2017

In December 2017, the amount under management by real estate investment funds (FII), special real estate investment funds (FEII) and real estate management funds (FUNGEPI) amounted to €10.7936 billion, down by €200.5 million (1.83%) when compared to November.

The amount invested decreased in all segments. Investments fell by 2.1% to €7.7195 billion in FIIs funds, 1.3% to €2.5749 million in FEIIs, and 0.4% to €499.2 million in FUNGEPIs.

In the period under analysis, investments were limited to real estate assets in European Union countries, with 45.1% of the FII and FEII portfolio invested in real estate associated with the service sector. The investments made by FUNGEPI were mainly aimed at the retail sector (41.8% of the total).

Interfundos (15.0%), Norfin (12.0%) and Fundger (9.4%) had the highest market shares.

In December, the special real estate investment fund “Jorama – Closed Special Fund for Real Estate Investment”, managed by Atlantic, was liquidated. Also last month, the real estate investment fund “Atlantis – Closed Real Estate Investment Fund,” managed by Silvip, was launched.
