Oeiras Parque Will Grow Bigger and Better. Construction Has Already Begun

24 October 2017

One of the most important shopping centres in Greater Lisbon will be upgraded and expanded, with construction expected to last roughly one year.

New retail spaces and new cinemas, a renovated food hall and three floors: Oeiras Parque will have a new look after completion of the upgrading and expansion work announced this Tuesday.

The offices Axonometrica and Broadway Malyan designed the project that will be executed by Alves Ribeiro and is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2018.

“The works, which are due to finish at the end of next year, will lead to an increase in the gross leasable area (ABL), a renovated shopping centre with three floors and retail spaces. New brands, which are already in the selection and negotiation stage, will join the centre’s portfolio of stores. We are seeing an excellent level of demand from retailers,” a statement from Mundicenter, the company responsible for managing Oeiras Parque, read.

“We are making every effort to minimize the impact of the construction on our visitors and shopkeepers, with the certainty that we are working on a project that will bring great value to the shopping centre and to all those who make purchases in the best mall of the Cascais Line,” Fernando Oliveira, administrator of Mundicenter, stated.

The first part of the construction is expected to be completed by next July, with the inauguration of the new food court and cinemas.
