New Five-Star Hotel Opens in Lisbon

22 August 2017

The Corpo Santo Lisbon Historical Hotel will be the latest five-star hotel to open for business in Lisbon. The investment in the hotel, of around 20 million euros, was carried out by a Portuguese private investor.

The hotel is the result of the conversion of three old buildings between Largo do Corpo Santo, Rua do Arsenal and Travessa do Cotovelo, completed by the construction company Tecniarte, which resulted in a hotel with five floors, 77 rooms and two suites.

The hotel’s main differential is its in-house museum.  The museum, located on a below-ground floor, that has pieces of high-historical value that were discovered during the building’s reconstruction.  The objects have been properly identified, with the Fernandina mural dating from the XV century as a stand-out.

Another of the highlights will be the Porter restaurant, which will seat 70 people, and will be composed of a mezzanine, bar area and an area reserved for events.

A business centre and gym will also be available at the Corpo Santo Lisbon Historical Hotel, which is due to open in September.
