Lisbon Launches €67-Million Investment Programme

13 April 2020 The Lisbon City Council has approved public investment totalling more than 67.1 million euros. According to the municipality, the investment underscores the city’s commitment to maintaining its investment plans unchanged even during the current pandemic.  

The municipality will invest in the resurfacing of the city’s second ringway and the continuation of the “square in every neighbourhood” programme, along with the rehabilitation of the Paços da Rainha, among others.

The local government also stated that it would launch a 30-million-euro public tender to rebuild the city’s school park. Lisbon will also invest €17-million in the construction of a Fire Brigade Command and Training Headquarters in Chelas, along with €1.5 million on urgent conservation and repair works.
