Hotel Occupancy Up in February in the Algarve

9 March 2020 Average occupancy in the Algarve reached 47.5% in February, an increase of 3.3% compared to the same month in 2019. At the same time, sales volumes increased by 14.6% y-o-y.

According to AHETA, Portugal posted the most significant increase in occupancy, boosted by Carnival at the end of the month. In turn, Holland saw hotel occupancy fall by 11.3%, while the UK posted a 10.9% drop.
