Construction Begins on the Louboutin Hotel in Melides

20 August 2020 – Work has begun on a new hotel in Melides, in the municipality of Grândola, which is owned by Christian Louboutin, the French designer known for his red-soled shoes.

The designer began planning the project in 2017, and the boutique hotel is expected to be completed in 2021. Mr Louboutin spent 500,000 euros to acquire the property and plans to invest another two million euros on construction. The hotel, which will have only 15 rooms and a restaurant, was designed by the Portuguese architect Madalena Caiado.
