B&B Hotels Begins Work on New Hotel in Vila Nova de Gaia

18 July 2020 – The French group B&B Hotels will begin work on the construction of a new 13-floor hotel on land located next to the El Corte Inglés de Vila Nova de Gaia, on Avenida da República. B&B, which Goldman Sachs acquired last year, plans to invest up to €17.5 million in the new three-star unit.

The inauguration of the 210-room hotel, which will have a total of 439 beds, is forecast for the beginning of 2022. El Corte Inglés owned the land where the new hotel is being erected.

The project will also include 14 office spaces and a parking lot with capacity for 63 places.

The B&B Hotels Group currently has three units in Portugal (in Cantanhede, Braga and Felgueiras), with a total of 296 rooms and a dozen flats.
