Average Housing Prices Up by One Euro in June

3 August 2020 – Residential properties assessments carried out by banks in Portugal during evaluations of applications for mortgages continued to increase in value, despite the pandemic, according to a report by the INE. Housing prices rose to an average of 1,115 euros per square meter in June, up by one euro compared to May.

The number of valuations carried out, however, fell in the three months of April May and June, by 33.7%, 37.3% and 8.8%, respectively.
