Another Hotel to Open in Downtown Lisbon

18 November 2020 – According to an article in Jornal I, the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage (DGPC) approved the construction of the Hotel da Betesga in the building where the Confeitaria Nacional and Ourivesaria Barbosa and Esteves are located, on Rua da Prata. Both are classified as Monuments of Public Interest.

The jewellery shop closed in 2018, while the bakery is still operating. The two protected stores must remain intact, however.
