Alameda Shop & Spot Undergoing Upgrade

2 October 2017

The Alameda Shop & Spot Shopping Mall, managed by CBRE, has begun a remodelling project whose objective is to modernise and upgrade the shopping centre.

According to the Centre’s director, Juan Ferreira, “the renovation is part of a strategy to upgrade and reposition the mall, which began with rebranding and is now focusing on remodelling, as a part of our constant search for ways to modernise our commercial offer.”

In a press release, the Alameda Shop & Spot explained that the renovation intends to reposition the Alameda by current standards of modernity and comfort and to address market trends as well as the demands of consumers. In parallel, this investment also aims to adapt and harmonise the centre’s product to the region needs, providing a unique shopping and leisure experience in the city of Porto.

One of the focuses of the renovation is in the food court, through the creation of an innovative concept, with its brand – Páteo. The new concept implies “a more efficient organisation of the catering space, whether for individual meals, in groups or the family, creating a total of 656 dining spaces for our clients.”

According to the Centre, this is part of a first phase that will continue to the end of the year and will encompass upgrades to infrastructure, including facilitating circulation, lighting, air conditioning and the car park.
