3 and 6-Month Euribor Drop, Lowering Mortgage Rates
7 December 2020 – According to simulations by Deco/Dinheiro & Direitos, monthly payment instalments for residential mortgage holders will decrease in December in contracts indexed to the 3- and 6-month Euribor interest rate.
For example, a person with a 30-year, €150,000 mortgage and 1% spread indexed to te 6-month Euribor will pay 448.19 euros in December, down 3.1 euros from October.
With a loan under the same conditions, but indexed to Euribor three months, the mortgage holder would pay 447.40 euros, 1.98 euros less than in October.
