Baía do Tejo Promotes Holdings in Moscow and Attracts the Interest of Russian Investors

Baia do Tejo, a state-owned company that is a part of the Parpública group of companies, was in Moscow last week to present its real estate holdings, including those belonging to the Lisbon South Bay. Its participation in the Moscow International Property Show fair was a success: “[There is] great interest on the part of the Russian business community” and an agreement between the parties was established, the company said.

According to Lusa, which based its reporting on a statement from Baía do Tejo, the company presented its holdings, including the former industrial areas in Barreiro and Seixal, and the Estarreja business park and the property in Almada, in a meeting with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moscow.

“Being very interested to learn more regarding the territories that have view of Lisbon from the left bank of the Tagus, the leaders of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moscow gave special attention to the Business Parks of the Baia do Tejo do Barreiro and Seixal, as well as the Quimiparque de Estarreja,” the company said, referring to the territories of Lisbon South Bay.

“The result of this meeting was an approximation and mutual interest between both parties, which enabled an agreement to establish a protocol to monitor and facilitate the entire process of Russian companies wishing to begin operation in the counties of Almada, Barreiro and Seixal and the north of the country, in Estarreja,” Baía do Tejo added.

According to the company, the fair that took place in Moscow established “multiple contacts with investors and with groups of developers who work in Russia and Turkey” and in various regions of the Middle and the Far East.
