At the end of the third quarter of 2017, tendered public works contracts stood at €2.311 billion, an increase of 96% over the same period of last year. According to AICCOPN, this period was the best of the previous 25 years for the Public Works Market.

With open public tenders reaching €831 million, this was the best quarter of the last 25, i.e. since June 2011.

In the first nine months of the year, contracts awarded and reported by the Public Works Observatory for public tenders amounted to 879 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 74%. The contracts entered into as a result of Direct Adjustments amounted to 562 million euros, representing a 44% change over the same period of 2016.

The total number of contracts concluded and reported up to the end of September amounted to 1.525 billion euros, or 57% more than in the previous year. Just considering the €584 million in registered public contracts in the third quarter, it is the best quarter since June 2011.
