World’s Largest Tourism Group Opens Hotel on Falesia Beach

21 February 2018

The TUI Group – the world’s largest travel and tourism multinational – inaugurated the TUI Blue Falésia hotel. Situated on a cliff top in Praia da Falésia, in the municipality of Albufeira, Algarve, with views of the Atlantic, the new hotel is the result of the restoration of the former Sensimar Lagos by Yellow. The new hotel has 349 rooms with areas between 28 to 33m² and 35 to 46m² and is aimed at adults and couples, with no one under the age of 16 permitted.

The TUI Blue Falésia offers its guests a choice of three restaurants, focused on Portuguese, international, and Mediterranean cuisine, and two bars. Guests can opt for packages with just breakfast or with all meals included.

The hotel features a spa, inspired by far eastern holistic medicine, with beauty treatments and massages, an indoor pool, sauna and free yoga classes.

“We intend to continue our successes in Portugal with the TUI Blue Falesia,” said Artur Gerber, Managing Director of TUI Blue. He added that the company expects to open four new units by 2018, all catering to adults, thus expanding TUI Blue’s portfolio to that growing target audience.

The dates of TUI BLUE’s forthcoming inaugurations are already set. March will see the launch of the TUI Blue Palm Beach Palace hotel in Djerba, Tunisia, followed by the TUI Blue Marmaris in Turkey and the TUI Blue Rocador in Majorca, in May.
