9 March 2018

The company had already been managing the two establishments since June 2015, under the Eurostars Hotels brand.

The Hotusa Group acquired the Eurostars Gran Hotel La Toja and the Eurostars Isla de la Toja from Banco Popular. Both are located in Pontevedra, with five and four-star ratings, respectively. The transaction also including the casino and the conference centre (located in the hotel complex), and the restaurant Los Hornos, an official source at Hotusa related.

The president of the group, Amancio López, stressed that “he is proud as a Galician, and it is a privilege as an entrepreneur to have had the opportunity to acquire these establishments, which are two benchmarks in Galicia’s hotel industry.”

“In addition, the incorporation of the rest of the assets that are included in the purchase will undoubtedly be an enhancement to complement our current services and expand our market,” he stated.

The 199-room Eurostars Gran Hotel La Toja, the only five-star resort in Galicia, is located on the island of La Toja. Also located on the island, the 100-room Eurostars Isla de la Toja hotel “is one of the most important establishments in Ría de Arousa and offers a multitude of treatments linked to the water’s properties and the mud’s benefits.”

A few minutes from the Eurostars Gran Hotel La Toja is the 80-seat restaurant Los Hornos. The Conference and Exhibition Centre is located within walking distance of the Gran Hotel and has a maximum capacity of 800 people, while the Casino La Toja is located on the Island of Toxa and has been operating since 1978.
