Hotel Revenues Continue to Rise in Madeira

In October, total revenue in Madeira came in at 35.3 million euros, an increase of 4.7%. Revenues from hotel rooms stood at 22.9 million euros, up 8.2%.

Data from the Regional Directorate of Statistics (DREM) report that there were 652,300 overnight stays in October. During this period there was a fall in visitors from England (9.8%) and Germany (1.4%) and an increase in holidaymakers from France (16.2%).

The average income per room (RevPAR) was 50.75 euros.

In the year to October, there was an increase of 1.9% in overnight stays, 7.7% in total revenues and 8.6% in room revenues compared to the same period of the previous year.
