Intesa Sanpaolo sold NPLs for 2.6 bln €

Intesa Sanpaolo sold to Mediobanca non-performing loans amounting to 2.6 billion € which are part of a bigger portfolio for a value of 4.4 billion (Kenobi). The portfolio also includes NPLs for 1.9 billion € that went to Banca Ifis, Guber Banca, Deva Capital and Intrum. Deva Capital and Intrum also acquired a non-performing leasing portfolio totalling 1.1 billion (Portland).

Finally, Christofferson Robb & Co (Crc) is the underwriter of the mezzanine and junior tranches of a UTP portfolio held by Intesa for a value of 2 billion € named Project M2.

Intrum acquired NPLs for 1.9 bln €

Intrum had completed NPL operations on the Italian market amounting to 1.9 billion € in total. Together with Deva Capital (Santander Group), Intrum acquired a leasing portfolio from Intesa Sanpaolo Provis and Ubi Leasing for a nominal value of 1.1 billion €, consisting of secured loans backed by approximately 750 assets.

Deva Capital and Intrum had also entered an agreement to acquire from Intesa Sanpaolo a secured loans portfolio towards SMEs with a nominal value of around 610 million €.

Finally, Intrum acquired from Intesa Sanpaolo and Bper an unsecured consumer credit portfolio with a nominal value of approximately 225 million €.

Intesa Sanpaolo to sell 1.1 bln € NPL leasing portfolio

Banca Carige transferred to Amco leasing NPLs for 70 mln €

Following its derisking process started in 2019, Banca Carige transferred to Amco a leasing portfolio amounting to 70 million €. The portfolio includes NPLs and UTPs, mostly deriving from real estate leasing. As a result of this transaction, the quality of the bank’s assets has further improved, with the gross NPE ratio set at 4.5% and the net NPE ratio at 2.4%.

Balbec Capital LP acquired a 5.2 mln € NPL portfolio from BCC Centropadana

Balbec Capital LP acquired from BCC Centropadana an NPL portfolio amounting to 5.2 million € GBV. The portfolio is mainly composed of secured loans backed by real estate and managed by My Credit Spa, whereas Banca Finint has been appointed as master servicer. My Credit will operate locally through a network of over 1100 brokers throughout the country.

UniCredit might transfer NPLs for 14 bln € to AMCO in view of merger with Mps

UniCredit might sell NPLs for 14 billion € to AMCO to facilitate its merger with Mps. Moreover, AMCO might buy an additional portfolio from Mps following the first acquisition totalling 8.1 billion € last December. The transfer of non-performing loans is a crucial step for Mps, allowing the Italian Treasury, which holds 68.27% of Mps, to find a buyer for the bank.

CreVal completed two NPL operations for 372 mln € with MBCredit Solutions and Amco as buyers

Credito Valtellinese (CreVal) sold impaired loans for a total amount of 372 million euro to MBCredit Solutions (Mediobanca group) and Amco. The portfolio sold to MBCredit Solutions amounts to 102 million euro and concerns unsecured corporate NPLs. The second portfolio was bought by Amco for 270 million euro, and it mostly consists of corporate loans, 60% of which are NPLs and 40% UTPs.

Unicredit sold NPLs for a total of 702 million to Illimity, Guber Banca and Barclays

Unicredit sold NPLs for 477 million to Illimity and 255 million to Guber Banca and Barclays Bank, for a total of 702 million euro. The operation was carried out through the special purpose vehicle Gaia and exclusively concerns unsecured loans to Italian SMEs under the Italian law. Meanwhile, Illimity issued senior financing for 11 million euro. The funding is guaranteed by an NPL portfolio mostly composed of corporate loans.
