The demand for mortgages is growing, also from young people

13 September, La Repubblica

More and more Italians are applying for loans to buy a house or to finance their investments in properties. Mortgage applications increased in August by 4.6% compared to last year.

The average amount requested is set at 127,547 euro (+2.5% from August 2017). It’s worth noticing that the most significant age range is the one comprised between 35 and 44 years, representing 34.5% of the total; although applications from younger people had also grown. 27.5% of the total requests, in fact, came from people aged below 35, having increased by 0.6%.
