Scenari Immobiliari: the number of properties bought by immigrants is rising

Properties bought by immigrants represent an emerging trend in the Italian real estate market. The purchases generally concern low-medium quality houses with prices comprised between 70 and 130 thousand euro. The buyers mainly come from Eastern Europe (59.2%), China (12.7%), India ad neighbouring countries (12.5%). Sales registered a 13.7% growth in the first months of 2019 from the previous year, representing 9% of the total property transactions.
