Mortgage record: over 313 billion

The stock of existing mortgages is close to the record. According to Tecnocasa, which analysed the data of Banca d’Italia, the fourth quarter of 2017 reported an amount equal to 313,519 million, increasing from the previous quarter (+3.0%). The result confirms the growth of mortgage loans going on since 2014, getting closer to the peak registered in 2011 (313,864 million).
