Th Real Estate invests 14 million in Piacenza

Th Real Estate has finalized an investment in logistic assets by acquiring from Cerrus a distribution hub located in Monticelli d’Ongina (Piacenza) for 14 million euro. The real estate asset manager has clarified that the asset (23,100 Sq m) is aligned with its investment strategy in the logistic segment. The warehouse is currently totally leased to Sda Poste Italiane, and it was finished in 2011 according to the most recent requirements for the logistics sector. The 20,700 Sq m of the warehouse and 2,380 Sq m of the office part are arranged over three floors.

“The success of this first acquisition in Italy shows the great interest for our approach which enables German investors to invest in core logistic assets of the highest quality located in strategic positions throughout Europe”, explained Tim Hennes, fund manager for Th Real Estate. “The Italian property market is more and more appealing. For this reason, we have a local investment structure that makes possible pursuing investment plans in Italy optimizing the returns for the investors at the same time”. Th Real Estate decided to aim at logistics at the end of 2016, with the objective of creating a diversified portfolio of core countries (Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands) where the demand for these type of properties is growing. Among the investors, there are retirement funds, insurance companies, and banks.
