Sold Palazzo degli Angeli in Florence: it will become a hotel

15 May, Re Quadro

Leggiero Real Estate sold an important building in the heart of Florence, between Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Repubblica, called Palazzo degli Angeli. It was acquired in 2015 with the support of a far-eastern investor, the property has been recently sold for 11.5 million euro, nearly the double of the purchasing price.

The property has been acquired by a team of Israeli investors with previous investments in Italy in the retail and hospitality sectors. The building will be turned into a luxury hotel with 38 suites and a 450 Sq m terrace with a spectacular view of the city.

RE-Main was the advisor for the operations. The company guided by Simone Mainardi is specialised in this type of operations and operates between Milan and Rome.

Palazzo degli Angeli is located in via Calimala and was built in 1892 by the architect Giuseppe Boccini. The building was the centre of the literary activity at the time, thanks to the poet and writer Aldo Palazzeschi that lived there at the beginning of the 20th century and the many artists that gathered there (from Umberto Boccioni to Carlo Carrà, from Tommaso Marinetti to Giovanni Papini).

The building has a surface of approximately 2,000 Sq m and it develops over 5 floors. Its recovery has been assisted by the architects of Leggeiro Re, the architect Antonio Pio Saracino, under the supervision of the architect Andrea Pucci, the representative in Italy for the buyers.
