The Hotel Continental in Como, owned by Albergo Continental Srl, was acquired by the group B&B Hotels Italia. The hotel is located near Como old town, it features 63 rooms, a bar, two meeting and conference rooms and a garage. The hotel will be renovated by B&B Hotels, which will also bring the rooms to 81, as well as carry out a rebranding operation in order to update the hotel according to the international standards of the French chain.
Fabrizio Trimarchi, Hotel Seeker managing partner, was the consultant for the operation. He commented: “The sale of the Hotel Continental in Come is one of the first transactions of 2018 on the domestic hospitality market. The transaction concerned national and international investors, confirming the interest in hotels placed in the mid-market market. In addition, the acquisition relaunched the Como as a tourist location, as the city is currently undergoing several significant activities concerning hotels”.
