UniCredit will sell NPL for 4 billion in 2018

UniCredit plans to sell gross impaired loans for 4 billion in 2018. “2 billion will come from the “core bank” and 2 billion from the “non-core”, as clarified by the Ceo Jean Pierre Mustier in a conference call with the press. It will be “a mix of bad loans and unlikely to pay”. “We’ve developed various ways of selling NPL and have created several special purpose companies with other investors”, commented Mustier.
